Opening weekend a huge success

Well the opening weekend of LUX 2012 has come and gone and what an epic weekend it was with staff having to ‘pry’ people away at closing time!  A huge thanks to all you wonderful Wellingtonian’s who followed the trail past our four installations.

The weekend was packed with highlights but here are a few:

People clapping at the end of Kit Webster’s Enigmatica and pulling up chairs from St Johns bar and grill to get a front row seat.

Kids pouring all over the Squid Soup’s bouncing digital wave’s against Te Papa to see if they could make them go higher and higher!

Contemplative visitors from up the Kapiti coast sitting on the benches of Odlins Plaza to take in Afterlight by Storybox.

A father with his daughter that did not want to leave Acute Self by Interrupt because she was having to much fun being turned into abstract shapes and wireframes! Yup that is them above in the picture.

Thanks must go to the LUX crew and extended family for getting us up and running for our Friday preview. Remember its all on till next Sunday so spread the good word and send your friends down to follow the trail.
